When I first heard that The Cab and The Summer Set co-headlining a tour, no words could descibe my reaction. Lets just say, it involved alot of noise and undistinct words. And He Is We?!?! Then again, it is 2012 and the end of the world is a good excuse for almost everything... Not only was I lucky enough to catch the show but I was able to steal Alexander Deleon (the lead singer of The Cab) during soundcheck and have a nice chat with him!

After I finished talking with Alex, I could not help but go outside and talk to many of the fans in line. While most were mainly there to see The Cab and The Summer Set, a good group of enthusiastic fans were in line to see Paradise Fears. I do not mean to be offensive in any way, shape or form but I could not help but think to myself, "WHO THE HECK ARE THEY?" I was then informed by a very nice gal that they were a band from a tiny town in South Dakota and that the lead singer talks extremely fast. That was definitely a start.
As the opening act of the show, the South Dakotan boys really brought it! I was completely taken by surprise. Though the lead guitarist, Cole, did have a bit of trouble with his mic stand when they first got on stage, the band definitely knew how to put on a show. They fed extremely well off of the crowd's energy and was fun to watch. If you have not heard of them before, it is worth the listen. I would recommend their songs 'Sanctuary' and 'Last Breath'.
Next up on the lineup was Days Difference. Their music is much more electronic based than the rest of the lineup and a bit different than what I normally listen to. Days Difference incorporated a gigantic rubber duck in place of an inflatable beach ball in support of their new single.
After Days Difference was He Is We. Before I continue, I would just like to say that Rachel has the voice of an angel and their music makes the hopeless romantic teenage girl in me giddy. He Is We played a solid set and was extremely interactive with the vrowd Rachel told many stories and even had Brian Dales from The Summer Set on stage with her for 'All About Us'. If you like RomComs, happy endings, or want to be transported to a time where life was much easier, you must check out their music! My favorites are 'Happily Ever After' and 'All About Us'. Actually, scratch that, my favorite songs are the stripped down acoutic versions of their songs! MAKE SURE TO LISTEN TO A LIVE/ACOUSTIC VERSION!
Finally, the two co-headlining bands everyone has been waiting for. The Summer Set and The Cab! The last time I saw The Summer Set live was when they were on the Friday Is Forever tour right after the release of their album Everyting's Fine. After seeing them that night, I knew that I had to be at this concert.
The Summer Set have such an interesting style that is not quite pop/rock but extremely easy to listen to. Their lead singer, Brian Dales, has an extremeley distinct voice that took some time to get use to at first but their melodies are so enjoyable and catchy that you cannot help but love them. The Summer Set also has a way with words and their lyrics. Their song 'Mona Lisa' s one of my favorite by them. I listened to that song nonstop for an entire week straight! True story. Their music is definitely addictive. If you have never heard their music before, I would recommend "Mona Lisa', 'About A Girl', 'Old Mexico' and 'Someone Like You' (ps check out the cover of 'Fifteen' by Taylor Swift tahat they did for Bamboozle). These four songs will give you a taste of their music. I cannot wait to see what else they have instore for us.
The moment we have all been waiting for, *drum roll please* THE CAB! I have always been a fan of their music since they first formed but have never saw them live before. The Cab is definitely not afraid to experiement with their music and try various different sounds. Their music ranges from pop/rock to extremely funky yet they can write and sing an acoustic song that will make your hear swoon. Alex is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He genuinely cares for his fans and is so humble. They even played a special request from the fans! Their music is so heartfelt and true to who they are, it is unbelievable.
If you have not never heard of them before, I would highly recommend their music. Check out their songs 'Angel Wth A Shotgun' and 'Living Louder' from their most recent album Symphony Soldier. Actually just go and buy their album Symphony Soldier right now!
Tthe Everything's FIne/Symphony Soldier tour is a high-energy full package tour not to miss! There is about another two weeks left of the Everything's FIne/Symphony Soldier tour. If you live in one of the cities they will be playing I would recommend going out and rubbing some elbows at their show! You will not regret it
Please give Paradise Fears, He Is We, The Summer Set, and The Cab a listen if you have not already.
