Today, LEISURE announced a string of tour dates across the globe including four North American debut performances in Los Angles, Vancouver and New York in October. The mysterious five-piece will be performing live at Los Angeles' Bardot on October 19th and the Bootleg Bar on October 20th, then venturing to the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver on October 21st, finally wrapping things up Stateside at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, NY on Octolber 23rd. For a full list of tour dates, ticket information and details on where to get all non U.S tour dates, see below.
Since their debut track “Got It Bad” was uploaded onto Soundcloud earlier this year, LEISURE has had everyone excitedly guessing the identity behind their refreshingly cool and soulful-psychedelic R&B sound. “Got It Bad” is an unusual song with minimalist groove and woozy soporific rhythm. With it’s laid back vocals, the track comfortably defies categorization, and could easily become 2015’s post-rave chill-out, comedown anthem.
The band quickly followed up with the new and equally narcotic “Hot Love,” another dreamy R&B gem that soon had critics and fans in a frenzy again, questioning the mystery surrounding these superb summertime sounds. Listen to “Hot Love” here.
Finally, the band has decided to venture out of their recording studio – where they have been working on new material -- and on to the road (full list of tour dates below). Dates and information on where to get tickets can be found via the band’s Facebook page where more details of new music will soon be revealed.
Be sure to catch them live in North America next month.
