In December of 2016, West Coast pop outfit MAKO debuted their new live show to sold-out crowds in intimate venues in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco. This March, the Ultra Music recording artists return to larger music venues in these three metropolises and more for the "Run For Your Life Tour."
Kicking off Thursday, March 2 at U Street Music Hall in Washington, DC other stops on the 11-date tour include stops in Phoenix, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia and more. At each show, MAKO will perform material from their debut album Hourglass (out now) including their #1 dance radio hit "Smoke Filled Room," "Wish You Back," "Into the Sunset" and of course the current radio suported "Run For Your Life" of which the tour is named. Tickets are on sale now.
Sewn deep into the DNA of Hourglass lies a distinct hybrid musicality layered with their diverse backgrounds and unique interests stepping forward to present a new, consolidated sound. Watch the live video for "Let Go Of The Wheel" captured at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco where a guitar-and-piano combo pair beautifully with Seaver's love-hued lyrics which explode as he sings of simpler times and future days.
In an era where unexpected ingredients thrive, MAKO offers a truly unique experience. MAKO's first release "Beam" quickly circulated on blogs and YouTube, logging more than 5.7 million views to date. The track was featured on SiriusXM's Beta Test Tuesday which then prompted them to proclaim MAKO is "the next big thing." Since then, MAKO has found themselves in studio with some of dance music's top artists: Avicii, Steve Angello, Sander Van Doorn, R3hab, DubVision, Heather Bright, Le Castle Vania and many others.
