Listen to “Completely Not Me”, the brand new track from singer/songwriter Jenny Lewis. Co-written and produced by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, the track debuted on Sunday’s two-episode premiere of HBO's Girls and will be included on the show’s forthcoming soundtrack out on February 11th.
Girls music supervisor Manish Raval gave details about the track to Radio.com - "It appears at the end of an episode. The end credit spot is for our prized possessions. It's really for us to try and showcase something we're really into, because that's where we leave the viewer with a musical thought or message or emotion. And the Jenny Lewis spot scores a very emotional moment that happens in the second episode where you know the cast is reunited with Jessa. I love the song, I love the moment, I love the last image of that moment. I think that's my favorite spot of the season."
In other news, Song One, the new musical/romantic drama that Jenny and long time collaborator Johnathan Rice wrote all of the music for, will premiere at Sundance on January 20. Song One stars Academy Award Winner Anne Hathaway.
