Singer-songwriter Andrew Ripp is set to hit the road again this Summer with Platinum-selling artist Andy Grammer on his headlining, Back Home Summer Tour, across the country. Ripp, who released his latest album Simple at the end of January which debuted at #4 on the Singer-Songwriter chart, will open on the 23-date tour set to kick off June 15th in Dallas, TX. The two month tour will make stops in major cities including Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Boston, New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Portland, and San Francisco. Ripp’s single “Falling for the Beat,” which was featured on a recent episode of Showtime’s hit series House of Lies, is currently at radio and has been garnering a big buzz.
“I am a big fan of Andy Grammer and had such an amazing time out on the road with him this past Spring – he has incredible fans,” said Ripp. “To get the chance to go back out on the road with him again and perform songs from Simple is exciting. I cannot wait to see you all out there this Summer!”
Simple features acoustic versions of ten tracks from Ripp’s third studio album Won’t Let Go, which debuted at #3 on the Singer-Songwriter chart when it was released early last year to rave reviews. Also featured on Simple is a cover of Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors,” which has become a crowd favorite out on the road with the accompanying video of Ripp covering the song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1bhSwNU9Ek, receiving over 123K views making it one of the highest viewed videos on his YouTube channel. It is clear with every stripped down note on Simple that Andrew Ripp is an incredible talent worthy of all the critical praise he has been receiving as an artist to watch in 2014. Simple is an album that other musicians respect, fans have waited for, and newcomers are falling in love with.
Ripp spent the majority of 2013 winning over fans and media alike touring the country with big name acts including Sara Bareilles, Plain White T’s, LeAnn Rimes, and Parachute as well as kicking off 2014 going out on his first successful headlining tour, Andrew Ripp: The Simple Tour. Ripp is no stranger to the national music scene beginning his career as a songwriter and co-writing half of Ryan Cabrera’s 2005 album You Stand Watching, including “You Shine On,” which landed on Billboard’s Hot 100. Ripp has had a hand in writing songs that have been featured on American Idol, One Tree Hill, and Live To Dance and he has toured the country with artists including needtobreathe, Dave Barnes, Ben Rector, Will Hoge, Jon Foreman, Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers, and Robert Randolph and the Family Band.
