Star Slinger (Born Darren Williams) is a producer and DJ based in Manchester, UK, taking influences mainly from house and hip hop. Star Slinger first came to the attention after self releasing a beat tape in the summer of 2010 titled “Volume 1″. From then on, Williams picked up noteworthy press interest from Pitchfork Media, SPIN Magazine, Dazed & Confused Magazine and was interviewed by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. He has collaborated with Juicy J, Project Pat, Lil B, Stunnaman, Reggie B & Teki Latex alongside others. He has officially remixed for Jessie Ware, Gold Panda, Hundred Waters (for Skrillex’s OWSLA label) Washed Out, Daedelus, The Go! Team and Broken Social Scene.

Moon Boots entered the world in the mid-1980s via Cape Canaveral. After years of service as the preferred footwear of celebrity astronauts (notably Tom Hanks), Moon Boots came to life during a classified experiment aboard the International Space Station. Little is known of what actually transpired aboard the shuttle, but in short, Moon Boots became a sentient creature, equipped with reason, intuition, and groove. Before long, he grew tired of working for the space-military-industrial complex and found solace in the soothing sounds of underground disco and R&B boogie records. He knew it was only of matter of time before he was hung up like so many boots before him. He abandoned the program and used his savings to build a studio in an unnamed location, where he is currently working.

He’s recently released a remix for Nile Rogers, as well as the singles “Whatever You Need,” “Don’t Ask Why,” and more, with an official mix for iD Online. Moon Boots has been featured in Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Brooklyn Vegan, This Song is Sick, Dancing Astronaut, Billboard, and many others.
