Strange Music Announces Tech N9ne's Band Of Psychos Tour

In October and November, Tech N9ne will be touring with a live band for the first time ever. "This is a chance to augment my show," he says, "and go super hard with some incredible musicians I look up to."

Tech N9ne will be adding a new dimension to his already-legendary live show in October and November. Tech N9ne's Band Of Psychos Tour will feature the independent rap veteran touring with a live band for the first time in his career. A full tour itinerary is below.

"After we did the Therapy EP with Ross Robinson last year and seeing the reaction from our fans and new fans on the road when I perform that material, we knew we had to put together a tour with a live band and go all the way with it," Tech said.

Tech N9ne's Band Of Psychos Tour will feature AlienWar (Waka Flocka Flame, Jarren Benton) on the drums, Tyler Lyon (Evelyn Awake, The Leo Project) on guitar and David Pastorius on bass guitar, the nephew of legendary bassist, Jaco Pastorius.

Tech N9ne has experimented with the rock n' roll sound as long as he can remember. "I've always had rock inspiration and influence in my music," Tech N9ne says. "Whether it was 'Riotmaker,' 'Little Pills,' 'Straight Out The Gate' with Serj Tankian, putting a band together and hitting the road just felt like it was always inevitable. This is a chance to augment my show and go super hard on stage with some incredible musicians I really look up to. My fans are going to have a blast!"

A devout fan of Jim Morrison and The Doors, Tech N9ne named his Strange Music label after The Doors' hit record "People Are Strange." On his 2013 Something Else LP, Tech N9ne had a dream-come-true moment when he collaborated in studio with Ray Manzarek, Jon Densmore and Robby Krieger at West LA's famous Village Studios. What resulted was Tech and The Doors remaking their 1968 classic "Strange Days." A few moths later, founding member and keyboardist of the Doors, Ray Manzarek, passed away after his battle with cancer. It's been said that Tech N9ne's "Strange Days" may have been Ray's last recorded material.

The Band of Psychos Tour is Tech N9ne's third tour of 2014 and he's already planning another US tour for Spring 2015. In 2012 Tech set a record with the longest consecutive rap tour ever, The Hostile Takeover Tour, performing an astonishing 96 shows in only 104 days.
