Chicano Batman will release Freedom Is Free next week (March 3) via ATO Records but you can listen to the album in full courtesty of NPR's FIRST LISTEN. Produced by Leon Michels (El Michels Affair, The Arcs) the album foregrounds the soul and R&B elements of the band's sound, truly captuing the band's live energy, bringing their aesthetic goals to life. Oliver Wang at NPR urges you to, "Dive into a sound that blends Rio de Janiero's tropicalia, Lima's cumbia, and American soul and funk."

Continuing their streak of producing critically-acclaimed collaborations, Subliminal Records boss Erick Morillo and rising star Junolarc join forces on their latest release “Don’t Belong,” out now. Their fourth release together, “Don’t Belong” starts off with a deep and dark intro that slowly builds alongside vocalist Ora Solar’s rich and haunting tones. A seductive and sublime cut of tech house, “Don’t Belong” is filled with atmospheric textures and pulsing bass.

Fell Off The Deep End is the exciting debut from Neaux, the new alt-rock band featuring members of Trash Talk, Versa Emerge, and Have Heart. Rich in atmosphere and songcraft, Fell Off The Deep End gives a nod to shoegaze, Sonic Youth, punk, and Bl’ast in equal measure. Originally released on cassette in late 2016, Neaux's debut was remastered in early 2017 with new artwork and is now available on vinyl, cassette, and digital via Iron Pier.


“I think this song kind of relates to me as a human maybe more than it relates to me as a musician right now,” explains San Diego-based singer/guitarist CODY LOVAAS about his new single “LIE”. “It shows the less serious side of me, the side that just wants to go out with girls and hang out with my friends.” Thankfully, this innate and primal appeal to be human has struck a nerve.
