The Cruelty Party

Born of reflection, frustration, explosive catharsis and the common need to sling guitars on synthesizer weary bodies, The Cruelty Party came into being in the bowels of Parkdale in Toronto's slap-dash west side. TCP is the bastard love child of Alphonse Alixander Lanza III, who launched international electronic powerhouse Azari & III in 2009, signing to Island records UK, Modular Australia and Dim Mak amongst others.

Levi Weaver

Levi Weaver is not the kind of artist who likes to sit still for very long. To borrow a line from Willie Nelson, one of his favorite songwriters, he just can’t wait to get on the road again. The multi-instrumental singer/songwriter, who recently packed up his house and bought an RV for his family to travel the country with him in, readily admits to his inherent wanderlust, having grown up going from town to town to follow wherever the rodeo his father worked for went.

Royal Canoe

A six-piece ensemble from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Royal Canoe give you everything, but on their own maniacally hybrid terms. It's one thing to reference a particular style, or even a range of styles. It's another thing entirely to grab huge handfuls of sounds from pretty much anywhere, throw them all together and come up with something both cohesive and totally distinctive—something that also happens to ripple and crack with energy. This is what Royal Canoe does best.
